The Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program held a fast-breaking event that brought together all elements of the academic community in the spirit of Ramadan camaraderie. This event served as a momentum to strengthen ties among the entire UI Vocational family during the holy month of Ramadan. <\/p>\n
The event was attended by UI Leaders, including the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Students and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Muluk, M.Si.; the Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, Dr. Eng., Ir. Muhammad Arif Budiyanto, S.T., M.T., IPM; and the Director of Operations, Facility Maintenance, and Asset Management, Ajib Setyo Arifin, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Prof. Hamdi emphasized that this event serves as a platform for building relationships among fellow students. “The Universitas Indonesia is not only a place to pursue knowledge, but also a home for growing together. Through this iftar moment, we can further strengthen the synergy within the campus environment. Once again, I would like to thank you for the invitation to break the fast together,” he said. <\/p>\n
On that occasion, the Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Dr. Safrin Arifin, SKM., S.St., M.Sc., announced that the UI Vocational would soon provide a supporting facility for worship, namely the Vocational Prayer Room. Safrin said, “We really appreciate the presence of the entire UI Vocational academic community at today’s event. On this occasion, I would also like to inform you that the UI Vocational will soon realize the plan to build the Vocational Prayer Room.”<\/p>\n

The event also included a sermon delivered by Dr. KH. Nurwahidin, M.A., the Executive Chairman of the Ukhuwah Islamiyah Mosque at the Universitas Indonesia. In a short sermon, Nurwahidin explained the spiritual values \u200b\u200band discipline involved in fasting. “Fasting is a means for every Muslim to increase piety and practice self-control. The virtue of fasting lies not only in its ritualistic worship but also in strengthening the character of honesty and social empathy toward others,” he said. <\/p>\n

The event concluded with a communal prayer, Maghrib prayers in congregation, and a social gathering while enjoying the provided iftar meal.
