The <em>inbound lecture<\/em>, which was held online, presented Pauline Joseph, Ph.D, <em>Information Consultant<\/em> VOTAR, Western Australia and guided by Wiwiet Mardiati, S.S., M.I.M., Head of the Records and Archives Management Study Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vokasi.ui.ac.id\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022-05-17-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-254422 \" src=\"https:\/\/vokasi.ui.ac.id\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022-05-17-1-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\"><\/a>(Photo: Pauline introduces the EDRMS system)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Electronic Document and Records Management System<\/em> (EDRMS) is a system used to manage and maintain records and documents electronically. EDRMS is a merging system between the <em>Electronic Document Management System<\/em> (EDMS) and the <em>Electronic Record Management System<\/em> (ERMS), which was previously quite popular in the 1990s. Pauline said, \u201cEDRMS is widely used by companies in Australia, especially large companies that have a lot of documents and archives. Also, Microsoft 365 has become one of the EDRMS options that are quite trending in Australia recently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, EDRMS can not only be used for digital archives, but also physical archives. The optimization of this system continues to be carried out by many companies developing EDRMS systems so that archive maintenance can help all communities, both individuals and companies. Also, the data migration process can also be carried out through EDRMS so that the risk of data loss can be avoided. &#8220;The use of EDRMS should be done using an existing system, for example Microsoft 365. I do not recommend a company to create a new system because it is too complex,&#8221; said Pauline.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vokasi.ui.ac.id\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022-05-17.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-254426\" src=\"https:\/\/vokasi.ui.ac.id\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022-05-17-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a>(Photo: Discussion between Pauline and Wiwiet on EDRMS)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the EDRMS, archive and document management, both by the government, companies, and individuals, can continue to be carried out optimally. \u201cThe ease of accessing archives and documents is one of the advantages of using EDRMS.
