Depok – Creative Advertising Study Program, Vocational Education Program Universitas Indonesia, in collaboration with TBWA Indonesia, held a special practical class in the form of collaborative learning. This class was specially supervised by Gavin Simpson, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of TBWA Indonesia. He collaborates with the Head of Creative Advertising Study Program Sri Rahayu for one semester to challenge students’ creative ideas using real cases from leading brands.
This activity aims to increase students’ insights and experiences to get involved directly in the creative process of making professional advertisements as early as possible. “This collaborative learning method is very effective for students to channel their creative ideas in the advertising field which will shape the landscape of the creative advertising industry in the future. The Creative Advertising Study Program has a big share in realizing this and talents deserve to be. This creative comes from the world of education which is accommodating to the needs of the industry, “said Ayu.
Gavin Simpson teaches students to dissect creative ideas in various kinds of advertising campaign references, formulate basic creative ideas to produce final creative ideas that answer brand needs, are relevant to the target market, interesting and also fresh.

I also felt inspired by being directly involved in the ideation process with students from the initial idea formation to generating fresh creative ideas. This strengthens my belief that a successor will be born whose work exceeds expectations and disrupts the creative industry today, “said Gavin Simpson.
With this special class, students are more able to channel their bright ideas in the advertising industry so that they are able to attract a wide target market.
