Depok-The academic community of the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program actively participated in a series of activities commemorating the 76th anniversary of the university, held on February 2, 2026. This participation demonstrated support for the spirit of togetherness, a healthy lifestyle, and UI’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of the activities attended was a zumba class held in the morning in the Hallway Area of ​​the UI Hall. The event was lively and enthusiastically attended by UI students. Furthermore, the UI Vocational academic community also took advantage of various available health services, such as blood donations, general health checks, dental and oral examinations, and women’s health screenings through pap smears and HPV tests. These services are implemented through UI’s collaboration with several health partners.

More than 20 members of the UI Vocational Education Program, consisting of lecturers and administrative staff, participated in the series of activities. Their presence reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering a healthy, productive, and sustainable work culture on campus.

In addition to participating in activities on the anniversary day, the UI Vocational academic community also participated in a series of competitions held several weeks prior. Some of the competitions included tug-of-war, pickleball, and clog-making. Participation in these various competitions served as an effort to strengthen togetherness, sportsmanship, and a spirit of collaboration on campus.

The Director of the Vocational Education Program at the Universitas Indonesia, Dr. Safrin Arifin, SKM., S.St., M.Sc., expressed his appreciation for the participation of the UI academic community in this year’s UI Anniversary celebrations. Safrin said, “The involvement of the UI Vocational academic community in the 76th Anniversary activities of the Universitas Indonesia is a form of our concern for the physical and mental health of all campus personnel. Through these sports activities and health checks, we want to emphasize that the productivity and quality of educational services must go hand in hand with the well-being of human resources.”

Safrin also added that the activity aligns with the SDGs, particularly point 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Through joint sports activities, blood donation services, and comprehensive health check-ups, UI strives to promote healthy lifestyles, early disease prevention, and improve the health of its academic community as a key foundation for supporting sustainable academic performance, learning, and contribution.

The active participation of UI Vocational in the 76th Anniversary is expected to inspire other academics to continue maintaining health, strengthening solidarity, and contributing to realizing a superior, inclusive, and impactful campus for the community.
