This activity is part of the UI Vocational Integrated Assistance Post (Posbindu) program, which is carried out periodically and aligns with national policy directions to strengthen the quality of health services. In its implementation, the UI Vocational Post collaborates with VWC, the UI Vocational Teaching Factory (TeFa), to provide basic health check-ups. The examinations include physical screenings, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid tests, as well as health education for the academic community.

Dr. Safrin Arifin, SKM., S.St., M.Sc., Director of the Vocational Education Program at the Universitas Indonesia, emphasized that health is a key asset in building a superior and competitive institution. “We want to ensure that all UI Vocational students have access to regular health check-ups. A healthy academic environment will produce strong, productive individuals who are capable of making their best contributions,” he said.

This examination is preventive, as an effort to prevent the risk of non-communicable diseases. UI Vocational emphasizes the importance of preventive measures over curative measures, based on the principle that prevention is better than cure. Through regular health check-ups, UI Vocational residents are expected to understand their health condition regularly and take appropriate action if certain risk factors are identified.

As one of the Integrated Development Post activities, this health check-up also forms part of UI Vocational School’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), and aligns with the sustainability principles reflected in the UI GreenMetric rankings. By strengthening a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness of the importance of prevention, UI Vocational continues to strive to build a healthy, sustainable campus environment that positively impacts the entire academic community.
