Vocational Education Program UI is a program that prepares students to become experts and professionals through curriculum 321 as proclaimed by the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Research and Higher Education Indonesia. With curriculum 321, students study on campus for 3 semesters, 2 semesters of study practice in industry and 1 semester are filled by internships. The implementation of joint education and training in semesters 4 and 5 is a form of real collaboration between universities and industries which are the advantages of UI Vocational. “We already have industrial partners from both the private sector and the government. One of the programs being launched is a Certified Internship in a state-owned company. Students have the opportunity to intern and obtain certificates and have the opportunity to take part in professional certification tests. In addition, before graduating students are required to take professional certification either held by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) UI or other Professional Certification Institutions (domestic and foreign) who have partnered with UI Vocational Education. “Priyanto explained.

Priyanto said that to be able to join Vocational UI, prospective students can join the independent UI selection through the Learning Bridges Achievement and Equity (PPKB) and SIMAK UI. “PPKB uses report cards and achievement records during studies in SMA / SMK / equivalent, while SIMAK UI takes the form of written examinations” added Priyanto.
