This discussion raised the latest issue and was talked about by a number of people, especially those in the tax field. Tax consultants who started to be regulated in the draft regulation in the form of this law received a lot of attention. “The tax sector has become the main source of state revenue of more than 85% of total state revenue,” said Misbakhun.
“This public discussion was held as a form of academic response to the DPR’s proposal regarding the draft Law (Tax Bill) of the Tax Consultant by reoccupying that the issuance of the Pakak Bill must be harmonized with the Law on General Taxation” said Arie Widodo, MSM. Chair of the Tax Study Program, UI Vocational Education Program

Prof. Haula said that we wanted to create a new culture in the Bill of Tax Consultants. Start with academic studies as a basis and study. I hope that the study will be easily accessible so that the public using the tax is ready to be tested
This activity is expected to increase the number of tax consultants and those who maintain their competence. Darussalam said that the number of tax consultants in Indonesia in 2017 was estimated at 3,500. When linked to Indonesia’s population in the same year which amounted to 257 million, the comparison between tax consultants and the population amounted to 1 in 73.429. This number is very small compared to other countries such as Japan, Spain and Germany.
